Cary Academy is committed to providing access to students reflecting the diverse cultures and socio-economic backgrounds within our surrounding community. We award financial aid on the basis of demonstrated financial need, which is the difference between what a family can be expected to pay and the cost of the student's educational expenses. We annually award over 1.4 million with awards ranging from $1,000 to full tuition and fees.
Financial aid is awarded in the form of grants which are considered gifts. Once a student has been accepted for admission, financial need and the availability of school funds determine the amount of the financial aid award. Financial aid at Cary Academy is awarded on a year-to-year basis. Each year families must complete a new financial aid application if they wish assistance for the coming school year; however, the school is committed to supporting a student through graduation as long as there is demonstrated need. While Cary Academy has a well-funded financial aid budget, we are unable to assist all families who apply. All information related to a family's financial position, as well as, the identity of all students receiving assistance will be held in the strictest of confidence.
Cary Academy's financial aid application deadline for the 2018-2019 academic year is December 8, 2017 for current Cary Academy families and January 19, 2018 for families new to the school. If the application for financial assistance is completed by the deadline, aid awards will be released with enrollment offers to returning students in February and to new students in March.
